"if i'm thretened, i'll run ... if you catch me, i'll shoot you" ...
i try to be respectful to old people, as they don't run very fast
Nanner-nanner-naaannnerrr! Good one. Hey Alkay, comrade, I'm collecting Mosins, what were called three-line rifles back in the Russian winter. Cool stuff. Cool country. Well actually a cold sumbitch country but the stoped Hitler and that counts for a lot...

Mosin-Nagant
My grand-dad on father's side carried a Nagant revolver as officer in Red Army during WWII
(I had one as kid too)
the other grand dad fought to defend our birth place and was wounded in that battle. Got evaced East as the city fell, then came back in with liberation forces and carried a water-cooled Maxim all the way to Berlin. Tough old dude....had a big chunk missing out of his shoulder, scarred up face and missin' half of ear.

One other small thing: to people like Manninagh who have a less than a 100 posts, how about a little civility until you figure out what's going on around here?
OK - maybe I shouldn't have bit, but at least I had the grace to accept and acknowledge the possibility that I got it wrong.
Truth is, I read way more than I post, and the one thing I don't like about this otherwise great forum is all the bitching about what other folk do/wear/ride/buy. We're both lucky enough to live in countries with freedom of speech, and I don't really see how having more or fewer posts invalidates my opinion. Feel free not to agree.
This is the reason I sold my Harleys because I couldn't stand the culture anymore or the over priced bikes. Harley will put their name on anything.......ANYTHING! They have built this bullsh!t tough guy image and it kills the whole experience of the riding their motorcycles. So you ask, why am I still here? To Troll of course what other reason would I have to hang out with you dirtbags.....I'm just here until I kicked out which is hopefully soon....

I like to think that I'm fairly open minded.
The only issue I have with people pretending to be bad-*** by dressing and acting the part (from what they see on TV and movies) are actually drawing a lot of negative attention to everybody on 2 wheels. That affects club guys and civillians too. I'd rather not be followed by local rookie all the way to the house.

On that we can most definitely agree, although the police are really bike (and biker) friendly here on our little rock. Something to do with the TT races, probably.

They aren't that way here ....
You answered my curiosity about your avatar. I'd love to make it over to the Isle someday. I race Vintage bikes off and on and that place is legendary.

The Manx Grand Prix and the Southern 100 would be good events for you if you like classics. If you ever make it, just look for that patch - my club likes to meet new folk, and we have a lot of friends in the States.
