Even though I never watched the show its crazy to see how fast Hollywood can help ruin a clubs Rep. I seen this club in SD quite a few times in the years before the show. Never judged them but by all the bad reviews and comments it does not look good for them. Shoulda left it alone.

I watched it for the first time last night, wasn't really expecting anything out of it. But it is just another drama show that will probably hold decent ratings and maybe get another 1-2 seasons out of it. Some parts I found funny last night: The club bike drag race event and the vp shows up in a caddy (WTF???) really. The part about the snitch in the club and they take the pres out on a boat and pretend to dump a body into the water. The guy they gave hang around status to but didn't even have a bike. I thought to be considered into an MC or MMC the number 1 requirement first off is owning a motorcycle (and some clubs have specific motorcycle(s) you must have ie Harley above 1200cc, etc). I find the show kind of humorous and will watch a couple more and see if I can stay entertained. I enjoy watching OCC more but the Devil's Ride isn't the worst show I have seen.

I've watched this show, and it is OK. Everyone says their posers and all this other stuff, but I think everyone is comparing them to what we would expect a 1% club to do. These guys aren't that. I think the stuff everyone wants to see will never be on TV as a 1% club would never do this. (SOA is as close as you'll get I think) And from I've been told doesn't accurately portray life in a 1% club.

I've been watching the show. So much of the show just makes me sad. Sad that so many people who don't know any better will think that this is what it's really like in an MC.

I feel pity for the president every time he talks about how much he wants the club to grow seemingly overnight and the more numbers the better. I think he even went as far as to say it's like a pride of lions, the more members he has the more badass they are.

From my experience, the larger the chapter, the harder it is to maintain the true brotherhood that draws most people to this lifestyle.

And for some reason it annoys me that they don't understand the meaning of the word "Nomad".

I don't know if I'll continue watching, it's not entertaining to me.

I refuse to watch it anymore. I saw enough in the first 2 episodes to know it is ridiculous. To me it is kind of insulting because they are to some folks in this world portraying themselves in a way that represents all Harley riders. Not just club members. I wouldn't want anyone looking at me and thinking that big goofy sumbitch is one of those kinds of people. I have enough issues looking like a freakin goofball.

Having said that the thing that bugs me the most is something you touched on. the nomads thing. I on occasion see people saying I know these guys or have seen them around and they are good dudes and a good club.

2 things wrong with that.

1. Even remotely defending these guys makes one look like a jackass
2. I don't even remotely understand how an entire club can be Nomad AND have 1 centrally located clubhouse. Doesn't that kind of make them non Nomads? Just going by the general definition of that word

I feel like I am missing something. Or does that alone make them a complete fraud as a club. Are they using the term nomad because they didn't, couldn't or wouldn't approach the other clubs and say we'd like to start a club here.

Maybe I am missing something to me but to me there has to be something deeper behind it than just calling themselves Nomads.

are there other clubs out there with 1 location with a clubhouse that are all Nomads?

noˇmad (nmd)n.1. A member of a group of people who have no fixed home and move according to the seasons from place to place in search of food, water, and grazing land.
2. A person with no fixed residence who roams about; a wanderer.
