Default Mall security question

I went to the mall the other day and parked the bike in a load/unload area. It was a small triangle just big enough for the bike. When I cane out a 1/2 hr later, just went in for a follow up eye exam. Anyway, the security guard approaches me and asks me not to park there anymore, the next time she'll "tag" me. My question is, What would this "tag" be? Do I pay the mall? Do I get banned from the mall? There was also a LEO parked near by, but he has no jurist diction in a private parking lot and didn't even look over (was probably there just in case I started something). But I wouldn't with a person just doing their job, And she was polite about it. I wasn't "breaking the law". Just a mall regulation. It wasn't a handy cap or a fire lane. The most the mall could do was have me towed.

Have you been towed lately????I worked in the towing gig for a while and quit when I realized how many roll backs ended up being parked at low income housing at night. The times I have seen a bike laying on its side on a roll back also made me think every time I was tempted to park where it said no parking especially when it had a sign no parking violators will answer to BUBBa tow. This is a real pet peave of mine especially when a private entity can collect parking violations on you--------if you don't pay they tun it over to a collection agency and its just a bad deal

That's what I'm asking. I get they can tow me. But I know I'm in and out in 30. So not enough time. But the tagging thing? So far as collecting agency, I would think it would cost them more then they'd get.

Unless it's posted "No parking" you didn't violate any laws. In Cali the lots has to be posted at all entrances and exits and the vehicle code, tow company, police department, all necessary phone numbers.

Just for the record LEO's do have authority to cite in a mall lot for certain violations it's called public off street parking, towing is PPI, "private party impound."

Tag = citation I would imagine, but I would have to see state law giving them authority.

Hang ur head in shame, lol.

in the US attorneys who lose their edge do collections most of the time for 25% I know what the parking lot violations at a pay and park run usually around 75$ so to send a collection letter from a minimum wage secretaries desk wouldn't cost that much then when you get no response just contact the credit bureau and watch the $$$ come in.And as far as time line goes I have set in select spots at night just waiting for my next victim er TOW.I have had 5 minute response times on this sort of stuff

IMO...striped/marked areas are just like pylons/do-not-cross tape - they're not meant for parking & the mall security gal can ticket & tow your ride so why ask for trouble? Just park in a normal/end spot, or m/c area.

Ran in a Big Box store in Yuma, AZ on a trip to get some swim shorts, parked on the sidewalk around the corner, came out, security guard was there and said "you can't park there". I just looked at him and said ok, got on the bike, he had a priceless expression on his face. obviously he wasn't done telling me his story, lol

Park it in the lot where everyone else does.

It wont be a "fine" they can only fine the employees of the mall. What they can do is tow your bike as it is private property. Now will they go that far? I doubt it. They would "tag" it meaning it would be flagged for future violations. Then if you continue to violate the property rules than they could have your bike towed off the lot.
