Default Been looking for a while...

I've been in the Huntsville Alabama area for a while, since July, and have been looking for work...Not successfully I might add...I've worked as a carpenter, hotel maintenance, and am licensed in Water treatment and Water Production...There are a LOT of jobs listed on "job" sites, but can't get the "call back". I've interviewed twice, but don't have local references. It's really been hard since I returned from Iraq last Aug. Any help here would be appreciated. I ride an '07 Roadking Classic, and would be willing to meet up with some locals here...Don't drink much, if any, so I don't go to bars, or haven't...Thanks.

I'm a little old school but find out who is the super for the job you seek and meet them in person inquiring about the job. Most people do not do this and it does make an impression.

You might try setting up an account here; the basic service is free...http://www.linkedin.com
They may have job listings in your chosen field; lot's of networking possibilities also. You may also need to hire a "headhunter" to help you make some connections with potential employers. Good luck!
