HD Moronclothes

I have a few HD t-shirts I picked up at the dealers I hit, wife did buy one off the web for me, and I wear them when on or off the bike, just like the other T-shirts I have.
I did refuse to get the HD toilet paper holder I seen at one of the dealers, enough is enough.

Its sort of like the wearing of branded sports team gear, except at least MOST of these people own an HD. And before you say it, I can afford both the bike and the gear, choose not to do any more unpaid adverstising for any company that I can.
→Shiny new bikes. Mine happens to always be dirty, but just b/c a bike is clean doesn't mean they don't ride. Maybe they are retired with few restraints on their time. Some people are ****. He might ride circles around you AND have time to keep it spotless.
→600 miles after 2 years? First, how do you know the bikes have no miles on them? Do you touch another mans bike to read the odometer? Do you actually ask them? I highly doubt you do either one. 2 years? The MoCo generally makes very few changes. You really want us to think you are that good at judging the age?
→How is it that you know what another mans underwear looks like?
→What is it that's wrong with wearing team branded gear??? I gotta hear this one. I've never in my life heard someone say there is something wrong with being a sports fan and buying hats/jersey's, tees, etc to support your team. Heck, go to a game w/o the gear and you'd stick out like a sore thumb as damn near the only one not supporting your team.
→Did you say MOST people that wear HD stuff own Harley's? Hmmm...really??? How did you arrive at this conclusion??? I've heard it talked about over and over again how many people buy Harley stuff that don't have Harley's. So much so that people buy t-shirts saying "I own a Harley, not just this f*cking t-shirt"
→Ahhh yes...the unpaid advertising. This one really burns me up on the forums. Dude, everybody does it, in damn near every part of their lives. It is human nature to want to belong. We as a race have a pack mentality. We want to project who we are and our status in life. It could be a horsey playing polo on your shirt. It could be pocket stiching and red tag on a pair of Levi's. Could be badging on your car/truck/bike. Could be the brands of tools you buy. Could be a Swoosh on your shoes/clothes. Could be the brand of cigarettes you smoke, what you dip, what you chew, what you drink. Just about everything you own has some sort of badging on it. If you graduated college you'd likely be proud of your school. If you are into sports you'll want others to know. At one point in your life you likely had a closet full of rock n' roll t-shirts. Then there is the Harley t's, That show the places you've been that might strike up a conversation with someone of similar interests. Or maybe that just says Harley and strikes up some sort of meaningful conversation. Or maybe a conversation that just passes the time when you got dragged somewhere you didn't want to be.
Quit yer bitching and criticizing. Stop judging others with a holier than thou attitude. Judgments you have no way of knowing if you are even right. Most of this of course goes to the OP and anyone else that agreed with him. Fact is that we are proud of our Harley's. As pack animals we like to be around people like us. With similar stories and experiences. Yes, I own some Harley tees and a hat. I own an FXRG jacket that I personally believe is the best riding jacket ever made. As well as FXRG leather pullover pants that keep me warm and dry even on the coldest wettest day. I seek out stuff better and less expensive than Harley. Most of the time I find it. Quite frankly some of the Harley stuff is the best. Not the MORONclothes that the OP is bitching about, but high quality product. I'm sure you've gotten LOTS of catalogs over the years, from MANY companies, and you've bought VERY LITTLE from those catalogs. God forbid you actually find something you want/need marketed by a company that knows you, the Harley Enthusiast, better than anyone else.
