Once there's significant snow in the forecast I'll park it for the winter. I'll ride down to about 40 or maybe high 30's. Anything colder than that I don't have the gear for.

I only stop when there's snow, ice or salt on the road.

Sometimes we have pretty mild winters but there are always days here and there we get to ride..............................how are you liking your football team? I watch all of the Broncos games.

What is this snow, ice and salt you intelligent yankees speak of? Us ignorant southerners just grin and ride all year long. sorry about that guys...couldn't resist. Must suck putting the bike away for months at a time.

Ditto to most others, the snow is a show stopper. Although I usually get caught in the odd blizzard around this time of year, I usually quit when it's icy.

SALT is my cut off. I can deal with the cold, I can't deal with the thought of salt on my Glide. Still riding for now.

Ice is the show stopper for me and even this far south we get it a few time a year. Other than that I just gear up and ride. Truthfully I would rather ride in 35 degrees than 100+ and humid.

My bike never gets "put away" for the winter. I've remounted the heat controller and started to plug in the tender in between rides but I won't add the Stabil until it gets far colder. Even with the Stabil added, I'll ride throughout the winter as weather permits.

Back in the 60's and first married tried riding all year, till it started snowing was doing Okay. Riding a motorcycle on slippery asphalt is a recipe for disaster, I know first hand.
Did not have an accident was trying to stop at intersection going down a hill the bike would not stop. Pulled groin muscles had me out of work for a couple of days. Stopped riding after that leave it to the dirt bike riders even then it is foolish in snow country.
