In Texas we have a saying: If you don't like the weather today then wait a couple of days.
Txswede, We visited the kid in Virginia,MN. several years back. It was in mid March, Left to head back home, temp. was -15F. By the time we hit Deluth headed south on I-35 probally right around 0F. Passed up a couple of guys on EG'S. I thought now, that is hardcore riding.
I never put the bikes away but they sit a lot in the winter. I break 'em out on warmer days (above 32 degrees) for short rides. I hate being cold too...the coldest I've ever been was when riding in the winter and when hunting. But both are worth it to me...
It's -7 up here... bike is in my heated garage, on it's bike jack wheels off the ground, covered with it's HD cover, waiting for next summer... Merry Christmass ;o)
It's been -10 here for the past week or so. Snow on the ground, just warmed up above freezing today, melted some of the snow on the roads. The bike is sitting on it's side stand in the Garage exactly where I left it last time I got off it. It's ready to go any time I am. Just waiting for a stretch of nice weather and I'll take er out on the highway..
It doesn't get cold enough here to really put the bike away. I ride every chance I get; it was 27 degrees when I left my house yesterday. That's nothing, almost a heat wave, compared to some of the temps I'm seeing posted in the earlier posts.

Sunny, 72* here today. Me and the buds went for a nice ride. Traffic was behind us and we lined up 3 wide at the red light. We all did a burn out drag which I easily won. Have a nice day
