I do that gay sideways peace sign, or pointing at the ground...I guess I'm pretty secure about my sexuality.. Sometimes I do that Indian (feather) "How" sign" NTTAWWT.
I do the highly homosexual peace sign as well but I rarely initiate the wave but I'll respond when I can. I have a fear of rejection so if I do the gesture and the other rider doesn't...it'll eat at me for hours.
Usually when I do the gay peace sign, I take my bike and leathers to the nearest gay bar and drink some Sex on the Beaches.
I mean I'm already dressed for the occasion so why not?!
Ive been denied the wave on my old cruiser by the same old fart every time. He was on a beautiful WG. Since having my new to me fxdl, I have yet to see him but hope I do someday. I know he lives out my way.
Even though this topics been beat to death its still fun to start a new one and see what replies i get. I will wave to people if i can...meaning i dont wave around corners...and wont wave while in traffic...i do wave if on a straight road. I wave at any mc rider although i dont get the same from everyone else. I dont care though.

sometimes i I just blow them a kiss. Hey theres too much truth in the rejection comment for comfort!! OTOH when I realized I just waved to a Burgman feel a little stupid. Then I rationalize, two wheels. Fraternity etc etc. doesnt help!
got tired of it years back. I very rarely wave anymore... and usually that's just a reactionary wave back, if at all. when I used to wave, it got to be such a habit that I found myself taking my hand off the bar automatically at times I wasn't comfortable with it.
of course... I'll stop if anyone's bike is broke down on the side of the road and they're alone, because I'm not a Dr. or a wrench, but i gave the wave up years back. why anyone would be offended or even care is really beyond me.
