Default For a cause

I would really like to do a prostate cancer ride in memory of my dad. I have no clue when and where one will be, but would be honored if our crew would be involved. I have no idea when I can ride again either. I lost my dad and an uncle to this demon of a cancer. It's a cause that is near and dear to my heart. My dad loved riding and I feel this would be a wonderful tribute. He's been gone one year as of today. Guys--- get checked!!

Worthy cause that I'd be sure and attend.

Been "checked" yearly for about the last 7. Ain't as bad as it sounds.

Time will heal, harleybelle. Remember the good times.

Hang in there kiddo, hope your restin' a little easier.

Maybe we can pressure NGH to go get checked out. He hasn't been to the doctor in 15 years. I keep telling him that its better to catch things before they are a problem!

Exclamation

And your precisely correct girl!

He needs to get his butt in to get checked!

Nothin' more to it than the ol' doc's finger wrapped in a latex glove... jeesh! (maybe a lill embarrassin' the first time, but surely he's seen one before)

It ain't nothin' if it's caught early... it's better to KNOW.

Due to family history, got the ol' 8' hose (colonoscopy) last year. No need for another for 10 years. Worst part by far was that "coolaid." After I started drinkin' that stuff.... I thought "this ain't having any effect on me!"

Good LORD ALMIGHTY! About 15 minutes later, my entire system was null and void of EVERYTHING! WHEW, that stuff works "AS ADVERTISED!"

No excuses....

Now, first off... I don't LIKE doctors... never HAVE, never WILL. They ALWAYS find sumthin' WRONG... kinda like takin' your Glide to a Stealer... (ain't that right, Johnny?)

But it's like this... If'n I go to the doctor, and he (or she) tells me I have some horrible disease and I have only six months to live... then I probably WILL die in six months. But if I DON'T go, and nobody knows what's goin' on, then I'll probably live another 40 or 50 years... Heck, my momma's still kickin' at 91, and my Daddy'd still be around except for a freak aortic clot that took him out at 76. That man was as strong as a Budweiser Clydesdale! Not a HINT of anything wrong in the autopsy except for that...

Heck, they'd PROBABLY tell me I'm already DEAD anyways, with a blood chemistry that NO ONE could survive... an' I jus' don' wanna be HEARIN' THAT crap! Not when I can be out RIDIN' with my GA Crew friends!

Back to the OP: I will MAKE myself (and hopefully NGB, too) available for a benefit ride ANYTIME, ANYWHERE, HarleyBelle! You get it set up, and I'll BE THERE! If you need help with that, you know my number...
