I prefer darker, sweeter ales, porters, barleywines, and stouts to lagers. Nothing to hoppy... with spicy top notes, and lots of esters. Fruit ales are particularly favored... Sam'l Smith makes the best of those!
I was thinkin about that recycled Basturd Beer stuff you was guzzling the other night! Is that the spicy top, multiple ester, fruity porter ale ur speakin of???
Go too FAR??? With ME, Brother??? Now THAT'S A LAUGH!!! If you ever do go too far, I'll just fire something back about BBQ Escargot!

No, although the Stone DOUBLE BASTARD ALE is quite SPICY, it has no top esters and no fruit - and is quite strong, with a relatively high specific gravity and ABV.

Wouldn't want you to get a Belgian Wheat confused with a Doppelbock or Porter... Heaven FORBID a Fruit Ale! I ain't goin' TOO FAST fer ya here, am I???
