I have had nightmares that look a lot like that... it feels criminal when you see them everywhere on a highway like WA 129 / OR 3... that begs you to really push the corners, only to have a high pucker factor sliding the front wheel on those things. .They always seem to be on the perfect line to boot!

They may be fixed now, that pic of the OP was 2 years ago.

I have a main road right around the corner from me that looks like this... it's insane why they won't just repave it! I was thinking yesterday about taking a pic of it...
