Missouri Helmet Law Change
Joe
Our helmet law is a bit of a joke anyway. You can only be ticketed once per day and it is a non-moving violation with a fine of $25.
So if your just passing through and you don't want to put on a lid it's up to you. Really the worst part is having them pull you over.
First off, in Missouri it is mandatory to have liability insurance. So, that car that pulls out in front of you will have to pay your bills.
Or look at it this way, quadraplegics cost way more money to take care of than dead people that didn't wear a helmet.
Let's outlaw bikes altogether. Save some real money.
Don't ask the tax payer to pay for your heart attack next time you eat red meat. Ban cows.
Quit deducting your kids from taxes. You had them. I don't want to pay for them. No more public schools either.
No national parks.
No roads to places "you" don't want to drive to.
Or you can learn this saying, "You can't just pave the road in front of your house.". I'll explain it to you if you don't get it.
It seems motorcycles automatically got a % of blame just for being there.
The Gov will not veto that. Fortunately the helmet portion got attached. Like the bridge to no where.
The bill landed on his desk on the 14th and he says he has no position on the helmet portion.
