I would like any information I can get about exemptions for 2005 Harley 1449cc models, applying to registration in California.
It seems like this would be something settled by Harley a long time ago, when owners required information about emissions to appease the Air Quality Board. I found one document...Executive Order M-005-0118, which seems to provide an overall exemptions for most models.
Any other information would be helpful for when I go in to confront the DMV.
Thanks
If you already live here and are registering a bike from out of state it needs to avhe 7500 miles on the odometer. They check the vin number on the frame, for the 50 state emission sticker on teh frame and the engine number.
If you are moving to CA from out of state it does not matter how many miles are on the bike.
