407......To answer your question I don't believe that anything happened in Florida. My understanding is the CoC never approved the patch for wearing from day one.
Clanricarde.......I notice your a new member to the forums so I will give you a pass.....just a warning....throwing around terms such as **** is not appreciated.
Just remember, we have Patch Holders who frequent this forum, and as a PGR member, who has stood many a flag line, I have been shoulder to shoulder with many who Respect what we do.
I have perhaps likely been on missions where MC club members were present as well. Hard to tell....I have seen some and then others likely dont wear their stuff.
Not a one person has ever questioned the honorable patch on the back of that denim vest. To do so would be unconscionable even from the most likely simpleton.
The answer to the reference to to national socialism? If one does not give indications of behavior typical of same then one not need fear the accusation of the word.
I like so many have relatives who gave the last full measure. They would each and every one of them be embarrassed by this lack of respect rendered by those who continually harp...thats its "All about Respect"
Please tell me where the respect went. It flew the coop.
There is a BIG difference between Respecting the Mission.......and respecting a piece of cloth.
As you have admitted you have probably stood the flag line with members of an MC, which proves my point.
They in fact do Respect what the PGR does......and the Members of PGR should return that Respect to those who Earned a patch, and did not purchase one..
The Mission of PGR has nothing to do with what one wears, but what's in one's heart.
Does the COC have a website? I tried researching to find out what the heck they are and how the body became empowered.
Each State has it's own COC, and in many States there are multiple COC's which have jurisdiction within a set region.
If you are talking about Florida, there is a COC for the northern section of the State (nflcoc.com), a COC for the southern section of the State (sflcoc.com), and a COC for the western section of the State (wflcoc.com).
Also, below is a link which will show you the State COC's that have webpages which can be viewed by the general public;
The COC has made their ruling in FL and OK. Fine, that's the way it's supposed to work. I guess I can live without going to either state with no problems at all.
That is God's truth at this point. Neither state is fortunately part of my daily commute.
HONOR was not served at any rate.
When intimidation and fear are used to remove freedoms. Then we all have something to worry about.
I'm a PH in a vet MC. We choose to work within our state CoCs because we exist in the MC world, support the MC world, and seek their support. We worked long and hard to be recognized by our CoC. The vet MCs in our CoC are well-respected by the rest of the clubs. We support each other in our efforts to help vets, and by that I mean all the other MCs, not just the other vet MCs. Additionally, I know of no one who does not respect what the PGR stands for - providing respect and support for veterans and their families who have paid the ultimate price.
But as has been pointed out time and again, when someone makes a choice to willfully disregard the effort it takes to stand up in a CoC, they are disrespecting all MCs. The very, very few instances where a very, very few PGR members willfully made a choice to step outside the boundaries of what their own leaders had agreed to is what caused all the recent and needless ruckus. Their needn't have been a problem, except for the reckless and wrong-headed actions of a few.
For those who might disagree, I ask this: Do you know why Confederation of Clubs were started, or why they exist? Without knowing the true answer to that question you are passing judgment without knowing the facts. Can you justify that stand? I think not.
