I'd like to pick up a set of split vision mirrors for my SGS. Should I get the fairing ones replaced or go with the handle bar mounted type? Next question where can I get them without pledging my gold filling in my teeth and my first born male child?
I've never run the fairing mount, but it looks like the small mirror is angled outward to give you a wider view -- which I like.
I have run the handle bar mounted split visions. On those the small mirror is angled inward which gives you a better view directly behind you, but doesn't give you any more peripheral vision than the stock handle bar mounted mirrors. I thought they cluttered up my bike and they didn't help any with a wider view, so I chucked 'em.
