Yaffe 12.5" Monkey Apes....can you keep fairing mounted mirrors?
Just wondering if you're still able to use your fairing mounted mirrors on Street Glides if I only go with 12" apes. Or will I have to get bar mounted mirrors. I'd like to keep my fairing mounted mirrors, but I'd like to know before I have my fairing painted.
I just put the 12" monkey apes on my 09 SG yesterday, and dig em... I left the original mirrors on and can see a "little bit" with them by shifting my arms up while cruising, but am current looking for a set of bar mounted mirrors that look good with the new bars for better rear site. I am short at 5'6, so I actually might be able to see a bit better then taller riders with them. Since the bars have a cool "v" back bend (Don't know what to call it) it's been hard for me to find a mirror that looks sweet with my ride! As soon as I get a new pic, Ill add it to the post.

I have the 13" Cyclesmiths bars, and also flipped the mirrors. If you come up with a good aftermarket solution, definitely post it here...I'm looking for a better solution as well.

Go with a set of Arlen Ness mini ovals. I borrowed the idea off another forum member (Thanks GliderXXX) and they look great.
I've have the 12 monkey bars on my streetglide and can see out the mirrors better than with the original bars. There is nothing obstructing my view, and my seat lowered me over an inch. You won't regret these bars very cool very comfy much straighter wrist angle.I dig em!
