Default air shocks

How and why do you adjust the air on an 07 Elctra glide classic? I need my bike to be a little lower, can I get this by letting air out?

Not so much, the air make a difference in the load capacity but very little if any change in the ride hight. There is an air valve between the left saddlebag and the fender near the rear saddlebag mounting bracket. As for the height issue you may want to look at a reduced reach seat to get an inch or so closer to the ground and there are shorter rear shocks like those on the Street Glide and Road King Custom.

Air doesn't make much of a difference. You'll need to get shorter shocks. FYI ... if you mess with the air ... don't go at it with a regular compressor unless you have it dialed way down.

I took the air out of my 99 flhpi front and dropped it an inch. I put plug in place of the air lines. I took off my rear shocks and replaced with a one inch lower rear shock from the local hd shop. works great for me. The air in the front only stiffed the front but won't adjust height. Don't put more than 10-15 psi in them.
