**I posted in Audio forum, but wanted to see what my fav section says**
2013 SG, stock head unit, Hogtunes NCA-70.2 REV Series Amp with Speakers 902.2/REV. I use a Y cable for my iPhone 5s that plugs into stock radio and cigarette lighter…AND…I've been through 2 cheap cables where the lightening adaptor keeps breaking off in my iPhone. I'm not looking to blow out the competition…truly, my current setup is OK…and if I could get slightly better, I'm fine
Anyone using Sony DSXS310BTX or Sony DSX-S300BTX. I leaning towards 300 because the Pandora built into the HU is not that serious for me.
1. Will the size of the 5s prevent it from being enclosed in the tray? Im sure I'd have to buy an apple adaptor 'cuz it appears the included adaptor is for the older iPhones.
2. Will this HU actually sound better than what i have? I do know I have to buy the Biketronics RetroRadio, Harness, and splash plate
**some may inform me that marine grade is required**according to audio section, marine grade isn't all that important…and I have about 6 buddies without marine grade who have been just fine for the last 5 or so years even in the rain (with splash plate).
1. Yes. That radio uses the old style 30 pin plug. If you buy the adapter you're phone will not fit inside. However, there is a usb plug on the outside of the radio.

And the outside usb plug charges iPhone, according to my research?
I can stream music without plugging into that usb, but if I decide to use pandora, I have to plug in iPhone?
Just a suggestion. So your current set up by the Sony Marine head unit. I believe the model is MEX70bt go with focal 6 1/2 inch fairing speakers and the ARC 125.2 amp. I use the riders claw handlebar mount for my iPhone with case. You will be amazed at the sound and how clear it is. Reason for this headgear is it is a true 5 V. This is beneficial to being on the bike. Use the metra install kit and the axxess hand control control kit and you will have everything you need to install it. I have about $650 in this setup and it is awesome. I bought all this on Amazon.com

Thanks sledge….I'm leaning towards Sony MEX-GS810BH ….it's 5V also…but not marine grade, which I'm really not concerned with. I do like your other ideas, but I'm okay, for now, with my current amp and speakers. But a very, very, good and knowledgable friend of mine--who is a stereo "junkie" co-signed with you and said to please get 5V.
He also mentioned the axxess, but it doesn't have AV….and I think my fear is leading me towards biketronics retro kit for ease of installation.
I'm glad I called my buddy to ask about your recommendation for 5V…u were spot on.
