Did something incredibly stupid Saturday and rode the bike home in a torrential downpour! I had plenty of offers for a ride home, but I let pride get the best of me. Luckily, I survived the ride. I won't do that again!
Anyway, the reason for my post is that I only suffered one casualty on the bike. My trip counter is stuck in "Trip A". It won't zero out and it wont go to B or ODO. I was hoping a couple of days of dry weather would do the trick, but apparently I'm wrong. I could use a tip or two if this may have happened to you in the past.
You could try pulling the speedo out and putting it in a container of rice for a few days, that trick works with cell phones etc. Sucks the moisture out. Or maybe take it apart far as you can and use a hair dryer on it, might work. I would try all of that before taking it to a dealer or replacing it, good luck brother.

Thanks, PNYCAR! The speedo works just fine. I think I'll live with it for a while and see what happens. If this is my only problem, I think I'm doing well. I plan on keeping my baby for life.
Similar thing happened to me some days ago.
After a five hour ride in the pouring rain my ODO display switched from kilometers to miles by itself and stuck.
And whenever I turned the ignition switch to "on", the odometer needle sweeped its full range (like starting the diagnostic mode).
I screwed off the rubber boot, waited some days and... was lucky. Everything worked fine.

A big thanks to all of my brothers especially, my bro in Germany! I unscrewed the button boot and shot it with compressed air! Naturally, the button buried itself inside the fairing after the initial shot of air! Pulled the fairing, blew everything dry and lo and behold... turn the switch on and everything works as advertised!
Thanks again for all of your help! I love my Harley Family!
