I just slap mine on the top of my rollaway. Why be fancy? For the ones I don't use every day...and I use my helmets every day...I have a shelf in one of the closets in the house.
Alaska Leather has something called the Helmet Hitch... looks like it would work pretty well for full face and 3/4 helmets. I don't have it, but I think I may order a few for our helmets.
I was gonna do something like that but I spend too much time making sure my valve stems are exactly on the bottom and my speedometer only has even numbers when I park.
Although I'd like a nice place to hang stuff in my garage, too, that there is funny. I don't care who you are.....
And you're confirming your sig pic tag line at the same time.

DONT EVER LEAVE THE VALVE STEMS IN THAT POSITION. ALWAYS KEEP THEM ON TOP AND REMOVE THE CAPS. IF NOT CONDENSATION WILL BUILD UP AND CORRODE YOUR SCHRADER VALVE. IT IS ALSO A GOOD IDEA TO ROTATE AND REPLACE THEM OFTEN. I MADE A ROTATION/REPLACEMENT STAND TO HELP WITH THAT. I WILL EVENTUALLY MOUNT IT ON MY HELMET HOLDER RACK WHEN I GET AROUND TO MAKING IT.

I thought that just happened on days that end in Y.
Be wary of having the helmet rest it's weight on anything pointed or domed. The foam will take the shape of the object and can reduce effectiveness of the helmet in a crash.
Same with straps. Hanging from a strap places the weight of the helmet on those attachment points. Stressing them in ways they are not designed to.
Best way is a shelf where it sits flat or to hang from the chin bar.
Some good ideas I'll be doing something before long. Thanks everyone. @ orangevette, now you gave me something else to think about, before all I had to do was make sure the kick stand was on the left side when I parked.
