Purchasing Advice
Too many other bikes for sale to take a chance on one that your leery of. If you can afford it, buy new. We're coming into winter and in just a couple of months prices on new are going to drop to bottom, and I saw an ad for 0% financing just a few days ago. Wait it out.

If the bike is a "must have" then get the dealer to throw in a warranty..if not then run. As others have said, there are plenty of low mileage Garage Queens with some warranty left on them if you have to get a used bike.
i'm gonna disagree with you here. i'd rather be riding than hunting, but that's just me
but to the op, yeah, i'd keep looking too.

Too many red flags on this one. There are way too many clean used bikes out there to take a chance on this one. Don't let this or any other dealer make you feel like he is doing you a favor by taking your trade.
I agree with others. To many good low mileage bikes out there to settle on one you are not sure about. Why the engine was opened up is anyone's guess. For you know it could have been upgraded to a 107. Without any history or paperwork you just don't know. I prefer to buy used bikes directly from the owner, especially ones that are original owner. They know exactly what's been done to the bike and often provide paperwork for all the upgrades. You will also most likely get a better price from a private sale. The down side is you have sell your bike yourself. The up side is you'll probably get more money than on a trade.
