Hey guys, I'm looking for some advice on a batwing fairing for my Roadking Classic. I definitely want one with a stereo in it. At bikes, blues, and BBQ I looked at some reckless fairings which seemed like a good one. Budget is around $1200. Looks like Hoppe and Dragonfly might be out of my price range. Any suggestions would be great!
My Reckless came in at about $1200 like you budgeted for. I quite like it. Made an offer on the auction for $290 and it was accepted. Got local body shop to throw some black paint on it, various stereo parts and a Fast Aire 8" recurve and it's beautiful.
Agreed, Woody's Fairing is my choice. I did a lot of research this spring and bought one for my 2012 RK Classic. I put a lot of miles on this summer and enjoyed everyone.
His price point will be close to your budget. Just give him a call to discuss what you want and your budget. He will help figure out what will work. The quality is great and his customer service is 2nd to none.
Not familiar with the others mentioned but my Dead Center is a top notch addition to my road king. Been on for 9 months now and no issues. Fit and finish are excellent.
Reckless XL has been good for me.
LRS, a forum sponsor, has one in the works. They make the best shields, I expect a quality fairing from them when they complete it. https://www.hdforums.com/forum/touri...d-fairing.html
