I would make the trade if I were you because your bike has substantial miles and the 2k off list on the SGS seems like a fair deal especially in light of the mods. Have fun!
Just saw your 2nd post, you did great. I have always thought the best way to own harley's is to trade out every two or three years because the depreciation is at its lowest versus the miles you get out of the bike. You put 18k miles on your bike with to me very little depreciation cost. Still think you would have been better off with the '14 however based on the price you quoted. JMO.

18,000 miles is just about where you need to put a bunch of $ into a used bike. Needs major service at 20,000, tires are usually in need of replacement. Battery is getting suspect, warranty is about gone, and it is still worth a bunch at trade in.
New Rushmore bikes have lots of upgrades, that it would be expensive to add to a non-Rushmore bike, and they ride and drive better.
Would be hard to fault someone for making the step up, especially if the dealership is bending both ends of the price offering.
