13 SG with 18500 mi and thinking of trading for a 14 SG new that they have a stage 1 with Cobra head pipes and center pro muffler installed. They have offered 16000 for my bike and are taking 2000 off MRSP on the 14. Others who have traded a 13 SG for a 14, what did you pay? They have an 11 SG with close to my miles on sale for 18999. Thinking I should ask more for my 13?
how is a 13 worthless if they offered him 16k and will prob sell for 18k. im stumped. imo i believe the 14 is worthless as its a first year model with potential issues. id get a 15 or 16.
I have a 13 street glide also and thought about doing the same thing. Sat down with all the receipts from my mods and realized I have a whole bunch of cash tied up in my bike. I finally got it the way I want it to look, sound, and ride. I can't afford to start all over again with a 14 or 15. I guess it all depends on how your cash supply is and if your happy with your bike. My cash supply is gone as far as mods on another bike go and I love my street glide.
I think the changes to the '14 are substantial but only you can decide if it's worth it to take a hit on the trade. I guess it depends upon how much you sank into the '13. I like the idea that the dealer already did some mods and you can finance them in the '14 deal, but also think a '15 may be a better bet from a depreciation standpoint. Make sure you clear it with Grace.
16k is a really good trade in value, and then if they take 2k off the msrp that's a really good deal to.. so lets do the math: good deal + good deal = 2014 ,,,Didn't even need a calculator to figure that one out, lololol
