Funny - mine do the opposite - open own their own

No matter how tight that bolt is.

Noticed mine closing on there own. Tightened the bolt. The bolt was way-loose. Probably shipped that way and never thought about tightening. seems to have done the trick

Look inside the pocket on the lower to tighten them up. One of mine was always moving until I tightened them both up. Now what I find is, every once in a while, I'll kick one of them shut with my big feet. Other than that, they pretty much stay where I put them.

They do have four indents that positive lock when moving them.

Center of the big black **** is a screw(phillips I think) and you can tighten them there. That screw runs through to the top and has a Lock nut on it(You need to hold this as you tighten) the assembly itself has two washers that form the indents and pressure is appied by a spring on the screw shaft, so tightening the screw and locknut applies more pressure.
