You could also check out Kuryakyn phase 7's. I put on the head light and passing lights and they have a trick little gizmo that allows passing lamps to be on with high beams.
I agree. I've had both on my batwing.. the original daymaker and their matching passing lamps lasted 1 weekend and just as nchogan pointed out; Took the bike out in the hill country and discovered very quickly it's a narrow projected beam that angles to the ditch and to the sky when leaning into a curve leaving not much light in front of you. Anyone that rides the hill country knows that's a recipe for disaster with axis deer all over the place. Now Roadies for some reason are different because of the dual headlight setup and those things are bright as hell and flood light in a different manner. I pulled it, sold it, put my Sylvania UltraStar setup back in with no further intention to do it again. Then along comes the Reflector model.. Been running it and the passing lamps for almost 2 years now.. love it!
Any special connector required?
Do they bolt up the same, with the same chrome trim ring?
I also run the HD Reflector and agree, overall it's the best LED available now. The connector is the same (plug and play). It comes with a new mounting ring and uses the same trim ring.
I installed a set of these on my V-Rod NRSRG. I ride out here in the Texas hill country all the time at night and I wouldn't want to go back to the old setup.

Is the Truck Lite as good as the Daymaker? Same reflector style?
The Truck-Lite 7 design is not quite as advanced as the HD Reflector and I've noticed poor daytime visibility at certain angles with the TL7. The HD Reflector can be seen very well from any angle. The TL7 also sticks out without using a "Frenched" trim ring, so HD Reflector looks allot better IMO.

Reason: edit
Love my Daymaker's. Bought the auxiliary lights from a member here and the headlight from Kutter. I tried buying that one that Ultanutz posted but I have PM'ed that guy many times with a question and he talked around my question so I had a bad feeling about it and just bought new
