At least it better be so says my wife. I just traded into my third bike in 6 months. First bike was an 07 Road King, put a bunch of work into it saw a custom and had to have it. Second bike was a Thunder Mountain Blackhawk 240 chopper. The chopper was way to hard on my lower back on long rides (rides over 150 miles in one day). So now that I absolutly know what type of riding I want to do (long distance) I traded the custom in today for a Vivid Black Street Glide. The irony of itall is that the Street Glide is the bike I went to buy the first time, but the wife talked me out of it because she didn't like the batwing. Well now she's come around (not that it matters at this point) and I am happy on my FLHX. Now it's back to buying chrome do dads and dohickys.
Would have been a good idea to save some of those doo dads from the rk to use on the street glide. Just out of curiosity, how upside were you on all those trades? Not any of my business, I was just curious. I paid cash for my rk custom and toyed with the idea of trading in on a street glide. But the dealer wouldn't give me the amount I feel it is worth, and I didn't really feel like going through the hassel of selling it in the paper or cycle trader.
dude..you have WAY...WAY too much expendable $$$$ or either you are worse than any female and cant make up your mind or both. "saw a custom chopper and HAD to have it" I hope it matched your shoes and purse.
Just kidding...got get bent out of shape. Always good to rag a guy for buying a custom on a whim.
Congrats on the new ride....jest sorry it took so many detours ta git thar!! Ah'll bet yer dealer loved ya!
Then again, thar's a feller locally that's on hiz 2nd HD this year - he had 3 others last year, an' he's makin' noises 'bout tradin' in fer yet ANOTHER one. He NEVER does a private sale - jest walks in, points which one he wants, writes a check an' leaves. Either he's got an OUTSTANDING retirement, or he's the oldest drug dealer in town!<G> An' yeah - they've checked - dude retired with WAY more money than he needs - he ain't even spendin' all the interest, so lahk he said - if he wants a new toy, why not.
