I'm in the process of shopping for handlebars, OMG!!!! This is frustrating!! I've narrowed it down to a couple styles and being located here in SoCal, I've noticed that a lot of the manufactures making bars are within a couple hours from me so I can ride over and check them out. My question is what's the difference between a 1 1/4" and an 1 1/2" bar? Besides the look does the bigger bar make it easier to wire? Make them more stable? Also if you know what is a meat hook?
To me, there is a huge difference between 1.25" and 1.5". I don't think they're more stable, but the 1.5" are easier to wire and look soooo bad azz with the bat wing.
BTW, I went with the 14" Vindiktas and couldn't be happier. You look about my size as I'm 6'3". I guarantee you'll be happier with the bike once you get the taller bars.
If you can go 1.50", then do so. They look sharper and the extra space will make it easier to fish line through. The angular bars, I cannot speak about for that process. Post pics when done.
