I've been a black or nothing color whole life. Then right before I bought the black version I saw this sandstone matte finish and fell in love. In person it looks a lot different and I get a lot of thumbs up, fist pumps, etc but haven't seen a street glide special with same paint job on the road yet. I went stage 2 right out of the dealer and all accessories are black except the screamin eagle cover but I'm buying one this winter and changing out. I went with true dual Vance and Hines big shots bc I like the sound so no black end caps but that wouldve looked cool. License plate holder is the curved black one and buying a black horn and a few other odds and ends. Just wanted some feedback on color and other ideas. The black one with the red pin striping that I was getting ready to buy just reminded me of batman.

Thanks guys. Lionsm13...yeah pretty much nailed it. Lol. Like I said I fell in love right away.Everywhere I go I get nice compliments and questions and all been positive yet haven't seen one on the road like mine all summer. I also liked the amber whiskey but didn't get the feeling I got when I saw mine.
And btw all nice looking bikes across the board. Even my one buddy whose been riding 20 years said he actually liked it once he saw it in person versus the picture I sent. Still is a black and chrome all the way and wouldn't buy but I'm the one that's gotta like it and I do. I was just wondering why I haven't seen another one on the road yet. I've also been to 3 different dealers in 3 different states after I bought mine which was the first they sold from my local dealer and didn't see any there either
I see a few around my neck of the woods and when I travel around. Actually a guy that I see almost every morning on my bus route (I teach school and drive the bus...) has just moved from an older, black electra glide to the same bike you have. I think they look pretty good. I don't know that I would pick that color first, but I wouldn't mind it. That new green thing they have for 2015 would be very obnoxious after a short time. You going with the blacked out them is going to look great. Are you going with "flat" black or a shiny black? And consider having those new wheels powder coated all black. My riding buddy has the denim black sg and he powder coated the wheels. Man does it look awesome.
I wouldn't consider not seeing any other bikes that color a bad thing. I would rather be riding a bike like not other person has. sounds like you got that.
