Default Raked Triple Trees

Hi Guys, I own a 2008 Street Glide and I'm looking at putting a 23" wheel on the front and would like to maintain a stock frame. So, I'm looking for a raked triple tree and have come down to 3 different models which are the hawg halters X23, Pickard USA and Arlen Ness KO. I'm just wondering if anyone is running any of these triple trees or what kind of info you can offer on the subject, as I have never used a raked triple tree.

Thank you for your time,

Ron

I am running 7 deg raked trees from a trike which I found on eBay, saved a whole lot of $$$.
Runs as sweet as you like, maybe better than stock. Remember you will need a new fender as well as a lot more work, BUT it will look a whole lot better than following the pack and fitting a 21"

With a few licks:

I use either the Pickard or the HHI and have had great results with both. Tried a trike tree and it was not to our liking. It was only a 4* rake as the other two I use are a 6*. I had a customer in earlier in the week with the Ness and said he had a terrible wobble. He asked what I thought it was and I told him the trees.

Yes, I sell them at a discount as well. Call or PM if you would like pricing please.

I was interested in this as well. When using raked trees, do you need to modify the batwing fairing so it's not pointing in the sky.

If you are going to do a 26" then you need a raked headlight bucket but with a 23" I have never had a customer request this.

What I had failed to explain about the Ness KO trees is that they are designed to work for 3 different size wheels all utilizing the same amount of rake which makes absolutely no sense. If you do a little research you will see that there is a specific amount of rake recommended for different size wheels. A 21" requires no additional rake than stock. A 23" is recommeded at 6*, and a 26" usually combines a raked tree and a welded in neck that also has an additional amount of rake in order to retyrn the trail mesurement to that of stock.

This is why I do not recommend the Ness KO trees as everyone I talk to about these complains of a wobble. If you have more questions about trees feel free to give us a call and we will help in any way that we can.
