Default Another Exhaust question

I recently upgraded the intake/exhaust on my '14 Ultra. SE Stage II air, tuner. Vance and Hines X header and Cobra slash tip mufflers.
The bike runs MUCH better than stock, but I am not happy with the sound. I had expected the pipes to have a bit more rumble, but I think removing the Cat has increased the noise level to more than my Tinitus plagued ears can take. I am wondering about the American Custom (http://www.americancustom.com/) with the baffle system. This looks like something I did with my Valkyrie after I put Cherry Bombs on it. Had to quiet her down some too.

Please no flames about being too old. I ride A LOT and cannot risk damaging my hearing anymore than it already is......

You might try putting the stock cans back on. Many of changed out the header and ran the stock cans, and loved it. Other than that, the supertrap style mufflers that are tunable might be just what you need.

I think the V&H Monster Rounds/Ovals may be the ticket for you. Definitely radio-friendly. A deeper rumble, but not over-the-top.

Foam ear plugs are cheap...

The wind noise hurts your ears also, even on dead quite mufflers.

I also suffer from tinnitus, mine is due to 19 years around Frac equipment.... and not using proper hearing protection.

Check Big City Thunder , they may have some baffles to tune the noise down a bit.

Stock takeoff mufflers are cheap and quiet.

Earplugs are cheap and effective.

Try the crusher mellows. Performance without the noise but still have a nice deep note.
