quick assist on tranny lube
ok gang im hoping this doesnt turn into another oil and lube post where we all trash each others oil. i have read all of them. out herein BFE oklahoma i spent all day calling all parts houses and bike shops within 60 miles. im hoping to do the first service to my 06 Road glide this weekend weather and work permitting. i finally found 6 quarts of Mobile 1 V twin for the primary and crankcase, but the best tranny fluid anyone had in stock was Lucas Synthetic 75w90. No one had redline or amsoil in stock, yes i know i can web order them but i want to try to do this this weekend before work goes nuts again. Has anyone ran the lucas or know of any problems with it???? i did search on the oil and the tranny forum and wasnt alot said about the tranny lube. im only posting this in here because it seems this part of the forum is visited more often, damn i get to rambling.

Lucas Synthetic 75w90 is just fine.....I would use it myself. Gear lube was originally designed for use in the HD transmissions. It worked then and works today....anything else other than gear lube has no business in there.
