I'm looking at replacing my 2010 Street Glides shocks with either the Progressive 944's or Harleys Premium Ride hand adjustable shock, like those that come on CVO models. Opinions from those that run either of these combos? Thanks

I run the lower hand adjustable and love them, great upgrade for the price. Also use progressive mono tubes in the front. The new SGS street glides run them stock, might be a cheap way to see how they feel if you get on one during a demo day?

I have the 944's, I really like them. some complain about it being too stiff, but I find them perfect, I like the fact that they lower the bike an inch while still giving long shock travel. coupled witht the monoshock, 1" lower, my bike looks as good as it rides. I have installed them on a number of other bikes, all with very happy results. there are better shocks out there, but the price starts going way up, In my view these are the most shock for the buck.

I like the hand adjustable but I found them to stiff for solo riding. I ended up buying Ohlins from fuel moto and I am totally happy.

We like them in the most part. When touring loaded they bottom at times. Nothing serious mind you.
We think they are soft riding. It takes a spell to get it up and down, very fine thread on adjustment. Only one shock is adjustable.

Rick, just a word to the wise! If you ride 2-up you may notice that nobody has mentioned a passenger yet! Most aftermarket shocks will give a solo rider an improved riding experience, but if you take along The Most Important Passenger In The World, many shocks will be less than satisfactory from her point of view. So it is well worth letting us know if you have a favourite buddy to consider!
