I just picked up a take off 2014 Enforcer rim with no tire. I'm looking at tires to put on and would like to match the rear Dunlop OE tire that came on my 2012 Street Glide (under 5000 miles on it). I see this Dunlop American Elite 130/60-19 online for $105 with free shipping. Will that work with the stocker that's on the rear? I'm a little confused as to to 402, 404, 408 etc as well as the "Harley" branded tires. Is the tread pattern the same?
Thanks Again!
No the tread pattern is not the same. Take a look at Dunlop's website, which shows pics and will help you decode all those numbers! Only the HD tyre will match, however any of the alternatives (including other brands) will work.
So running the American Elite with the 2012 stock rear shouldn't be a concern?
I don't feel like dropping $300 @ the dealer for the HD branded tire and my rear looks new.

It's ony 215......
But I agree..... Less is better..... The 19" American Elite must have just come out as I could not get one 3 months ago.
It will work just fine with the stock rear.
Now if they would just offer us an 18" rear............

The American Elite 130/60-19 just came out. I'd run it with the stock rear without concern. The Harley branded tires that come stock are far more expensive as dealers are the only place to get them.

You can get them off of fleabay too, that's where I'm getting mine at. Good prices.
