I agree! Why do you want a stinken trailer... A DECENT hotel has a washing machine.. Why do you want to carry dirty clothes? Or anything..cooler? What for? i carry a cooler every day. Beer, wine, food fits fine on a day trip or 3 days... A week? Two weeks???? WASH YOUR CLOTHS!!!! Might as well be riding a gold wing.. geeezzzz... Rookies.... I bet you have a wig glued to your helmet... Lawyers, doctors want to be bikers... My lord.. Probably have GPS too! Why not trailer your bike too.... Then you could take your motor home. Who cares how far you go, adapt, over come... Get change and use a washer and dryer.. If you pull a trailer, you probably are sitting around sippen a pina colada or however you spell it... Gezzzzzzz................... And don't blame it on the wife. SHE IS THE ONE WHO NEEDS TO USING THE WASHER AND DRYER! Or she'll fly to the next state and meet you... Real bikers, huh?
not everyone marries their sister or cousin but I've heard that in some regions it happens. If the guy wants a trailer and can afford it then he is entitled to get one.

Afford a trailer? I'm in Ga, not Ala. A cousin has nothing to do with my $40,000 bike... You can have whatever you like on or behind your bike. I was asking/saying WHY? Why the extra strain on the bike, the extra weight plus the fat lady drinking a NON-Diet coke on back with a McChicken in her hand is enough weight. No, I have a weight limit of 140 for a passenger... I'm the only fat chic that is riding on my bike! Gross Weight limits and pulling weight limits are different, I understand, but why have it at all??? Those are the folks that are going slow enough to wave at ya when the limp by because they are slowed by the trailer. If you feel the need to haul that much stuff, put it on a trailer, fire up your $500,000 motor home and go for a mear 3 day trip.. Trailer...Please... It's not an affordable issue here, it's lack of knowing how to survive as a true biker like in the 60"s or even the 70's. You put a 4x6 pup tent on the handle bars and go! I bet your trailer pullers have a freaking toilet on it too... And wet naps for your butt! OR Depends....
Why have a trailer if it id only single wheel. They don't hold any more then a friken pod box.
Two wheels only for trailers or just friken go home!!!!!

I've never understood the trailer behind a motorcycle thing for many reasons but most of all the safety factor.

Why spend a couple hours washing clothes every few days when you could be out riding? My wife and I like to be outdoors, that's why we ride. Having a trailer allows us to take a tent, air mattress, pillows, cooking utensils, lanterns ect. so we can camp out. Love camping in the mountains. If we are going to be staying in motels the entire trip then we do just pack the bike and the trailer stay's home. As far as safety, you just have to remember you have the extra weight behind you and allow yourself an extra space cushion to stop. My bike actually handles better with the trailer loaded and the saddle bags and tour back near empty then when I have both saddle bags, tour pack, and luggage rack loaded up. My sig pic was us pulling the trailer on "The Tail of the dragon". If your that worried about safety why are you even on a bike? When you ride do you wear a leather jacket, pants, and gloves with armor, a full face helmet, and steel toed leather boots? I doubt it. There's no reason to slam those of us that choose to tow a trailer. If you want to always stay in a plush hotel with a pillow top bed, room service, and laundry all the time go ahead. But some of us want to enjoy the great outdoors. Isn't that why most of us ride instead of driving a cage? It's a free country, ride, drive, and stay where you choose.

I have no experience with a two-wheeled trailer so I can't give an opinion on that. But I do have a Uni-Go single wheel trailer and it tracks same as your motorcycle's rear wheel. It weighs 70 lbs and can carry 110 lbs of gear according to the manufacturer. The nice thing about Uni-Go is that you can un-hook the trailer and wheel it into your hotel room as secured storage. I use it to carry my camping gear. I used it on my 2011 Gaspe Peninsula trip and one of the trips from New Jersey to Laconia. I plan to tow it to Alaska in 2016. Its well-made and water tite. No bounce and no worries about jack-knifing. Would I buy it again - YES.

Ok, point taken... I'm 60 years old, with a bad back and other health issues. But I have been riding for 40 of those years. So sleeping on the ground was alot of fun, and I really enjoyed it when I was able. I can't do it anymore. Excuse my rant on trailers, but even if I was able to camp and enjoy sleeping under the stars I still wouldn't want to pull a trailer. Like you have stated, ride, drive, and stay where you choose to. Having fun is the object....
I apologize to you folks whom own/pull trailers with your motorcycle. No matter what kind of bike it is...
