Would like to get a wall-mounted helmet rack that will hold at least 3 3/4 or full-faced helmets. It would be great if it could also hold other touring gear, such as a motorcycle jacket, gloves, etc. Looking for photos of either store-bought rack or owner-built.
I've seen a couple on eBay that also hold a Tour-Pak but I'll never take mine off, but still open to suggestions.
I suggest making a rack out of 1" PVC pipe and fittings. You can buy a couple of lengths of tubing and several fittings. Cut a few pieces and trial fit to get what you want before gluing. You will get a custom rack of your own design that fills your every need. Good luck.

Excellent idea but my OL would still make my stuff invisible....
I took a gutter spike and a length of neoprene fuel tubing to use as a cushion and drove the spike into a wall stud 2 X 4. Can't get much more simple than that, but not very ornate when the helmet was on my head.
Just make a open closet. You can have a self on top and a rod for hangers.
You did not say how or where it would be used. This restricts a lot of ideas.
We have a spare bed room with a walk in closet. It is our leather closet. I also have a enclosed metal cabinet In the shop for gloves/helmets/glasses.
Now if my wife would remember this I wouldn't spend so much time hunting her stuff. I have to buy a lot of sun glasses because she lays em down where ever it may be.

By him saying he wanted something wall mounted im gonna go out on a limb here and say space is an issue, he doesnt want to build a cloeset, and doesnt have room for a cabinet or closet.
Any hefty wall mounted horizontal rack should work fine, but thats depending on how you want to hang the helmets.
I bought a put together closet from home depot/lowes/menards and mounted on a 2x4 base to get it off the floor...it sits at the front of my garage. the helmets go on top shelf, left side had coat rack for coats/vest, the right side has shelves for manuals, glasses, bags, misc. It takes a bit of room away, but I can park my van in there in winter (while I sob and cry because bike is away in storage!) and close the doors. Keeps things neat and orderly and out of the way.
