I ordered a set of 14" monkey bars last spring for my old road king, and had to wait about 5 weeks. The communication was lacking and I was pretty bugged, but I patiently waited because I was dead-set on them. I live in Phoenix, so I bought them at the actual Bagger Nation headquarters. Once I got the bars on, though, I loved them and felt it was worth the wait. I've been by the shop a couple more times and while I wasn't wowed with the customer service, I didn't feel neglected or mistreated either. Waiting just sucks.
I like the bars so much that I put them on my Street Glide last December. This time, I got them through the dealer, and they already had them in stock. Great bars... but five months is ridiculous. Can you cancel the order and buy from another retailer?
Hey I got a set I'll sell you, at a discount. New, in the box. Ready to ship, in 2 months, after I get a large deposit. LMAO. So, after you get them & you find a defect, how long do you think it'll take you to get another set or a refund? 5 more months.
Paul Yaffe's Bagger Nation Ted Ted. Yes, we have a long wait for our Monkey Bars. Luckily for us, the customers that want the best bars in the industry wait for quality. Further, there in NO other handlebar maker that puts more effort into honing the insides of their bars than we do here at Bagger Nation. 7000 sets of bars per year man, we must be doing something right. And I send out items autographed by Paul all the time, and watch him sign things all the time for free... If you are in the market to buy hi-quality stuff for your Bagger, then buy our stuff. WHAT OTHER INFO IS NEEDED, HEY NEWS FLASH THE PEOPLE IN THE INDUSTRY THAT YOU SPEAK OF ARE RIGHT HERE ON THIS SITE, IT TAKES LESS TIME TO BUILD A CUSTOM HOME. THIS COMPANY HAS OBVIOUSLY LOST TOUCH WITH REALITY IT IS ABOUT TIME THEY ARE BROUGHT BACK TO EARTH!
Interesting thread, and makes me re-think my view of him and his company. Watched one of those biker build-off series not too long ago (Biker Battleground Phoenix) and thought he was one of the 'good-guys'. So much for reality T.V.! I kind of thought John Shope of Dirty Birds was the turkey.

my opinion of him went in the toilet when I saw him at a bike show charging for his autograph.
Seriously? who he thinks he is DiNiro? sounds full of himself. Granted he creates cool bikes but that's it, cool bikes............. sounds like his parts business is on the sucks end........... not for me
I've run across the same lack of customer service, arrogance in the HD aftermarket before, and I don't buy their products either...
same here.. there's a couple of body part manufacturers that I'd love to do business with but refuse to do so not because of customer service or even wait times, but simply because of arrogance and big-headedness "You should do business with me because, well, I'm me". Yeah whatever. All that notoriety surely goes to their heads and they seem to forget very quickly what put them there in the first place. I'll pass.
To the OP: You want a nice set of bars, check out Hill Country Customs. If they don't have what you want on their site, call them and they'll make what you want and treat you like you're their only customer to boot.

Hill Country Customs. I ordered mine last week and had them in five days. Nice thing is they also have pull wires installed for pulling the switch wires through. Good quality IMO.

The guy is a major douche! I ran into issues a few years back on some speaker adapters and called. It is not possible the kit I bought did not come with the adapters was the response I got from someone there. His biz skills suck, he might be making bread now but it is just a matter of time till the word gets out that he is an a-hole.
