Default Saddlebag locks

I bought a pair of civilian saddlebags off eBay so I could replace my police bags.

The ones I bought come with all hardware except the locks.

Question: Will the locks from my police bags work on the civilian ones or do I need to buy new locks?

I did the same swap on my 06 RK. I bought cheap aftermarket locks and within a few months they seized up and finally broke. I will eventually go to HD and buy the right ones and they will be "keyed" the same as the ignition and fork lock.

You mean you haven't tried them? If they don't work it is easy enough to buy new H-D factory ones.

I should have been clearer. i had just bought the bags, but they are "in the mail" so to speak. Won't be here until next week. Just trying to plan ahead

If they're molded and formed exact to HD bags (w/o the police mods) = yes HD locks will work.

I just went to eBay and looked up "Harley saddlebag lock". Compare this to what your police bags have and you'll know. You could have done this yourself, ya know
