Chaps here also, just make sure you get good ones thick/insulated. Watch out for the thin ones. If your going to buy something make sure they serve their purpose. I have seen some really cheap ones that you probably would not even break a sweat in 90 degree weather when wearing them. Plus the thick ones are better armor. Just a heads up.

Yup. WAY better. No wet crotch,no cold wind up the wazzoo. Full set of pockets. I don't even bother with pants under the leather anymore. Just put the heated Gerbing pant liners on,leather overpants, and good to below zero. Can still use a belt for the gun, also.

hmmm.

belt them on, start the zip ( at the top of the leg), push the zip down, and do the snaps...do the other side.

Done.

BTW the zip should always be on the outside ( so it can't scratch paint).

Pants. Chaps look too much like the Village People for me.

You live near Albuquerque, which means you will be riding in the Santa Fe, Taos, Angel Fire areas as well as the Southern Colorado Rocky Mountains. A good pair of chaps are going to be invaluable.
