Just brought my new SG home this afternoon and noticed that once it warmed up that it idled rough. As I was coasting up to a stop sign I thought I had a flat tire because of the vibration I had. When I accelerated away from the stop sign every thing seamed to be ok. Then the same thing happend at the next stop. Does anyone know what this might be? It seams that it idles rough once you disengage the clutch.

Not to be funny but. Are you sure it's not just the movement of the engine in the frame on the rubber mounts that you are feeling? I say this because I just moved from a bike with a 103"B motor to a 96" Street Glide, and I remember thinking something was wrong when I pulled to my first stop light. Then I thought back to my Road King and realised it was just the rubber mounted motor doing it's thing. If this is your first HD bagger don't be suprised if you hear the motor tap the frame every now and then. I know the first time it happened to me the motor lightly taped the frame.I thought someone was throwing things at me... problem is there was no one around.

The '07 engine in stock form idles quite rough, IMO. When I test-rode a RK last August I was taken aback by how much it shook at idle. Now that I've bought an '07, I've gotten used to it, but after getting the A/F right with slip-ons and an A/C, it is a bit smoother--or maybe I'm just more accustomed to it after five months. It still shakes, but doesn't sound like my old Evo that had a potato-potato idle like a Harley should. These new bikes just don't sound right at idle.
This is not the first rubber mouted engine I have had. In fact that is all I have owned since 1997 and I have gone trough a 1997 Dyna, 2001 Dyna WG, and a 2994 Road King Custom and have never experienced this problem before. As to it being not able to breath my SG has had a Stage On Air Cleaner, SE Exhaust and Downloadinstalled beforedelivery.
I'll take it back to the dealer on Monday once the weather clears up and see what they say.
My 07 RG is having rough idle issues. When pulling up to a stop the idle would dive down to 900 then up to 1100 and then bounce around. The bike has even just died a couple of times but then start right back up. The dealer tells me a remap is available to correct that. I'm going in this week.
