So I had a itch I had to scratch. I had a 140 16 inch tire on my 08 street glide. dealer told me there was no way to fit a 200mm 18 inch tire on the rear.so I had to do it ,right? yep,no welding, no cutting, done! and it looks really fat. the belt drive belt has 1/16 inch clearance on each side, man it is close but it works fine.

No had to get a 5.5 inch wide x 18 rim and change the swingarm . direct bolt in arm, I used a fat baggers rear fender.
OK. I was a bit worried for a minute. I have seen that conversion and you are right. It is close to the belt. I have a buddy that has a ton of miles on his though and he has never had an issue...
That's some serious coin for the kit!!! Then add the rim and tire in. I've been following all the threads for a 180 conversion. I'm close to doing it, just have to convince myself to buy a new rim. Fat Baggers makes a nice inexpensive 180 kit for the '07 and '08 bikes, I just don't care for their fender. Now that I've found a good custom body shop, I might just finally pull the trigger on a 180 conversion.
Well look at it like I did, your not going to live forever. pull the trigger and enjoy it. something no one told me with the fbi cats eye tail light that I think is really cool looking is that the cats eye light itself has amber color directionals intergraded in the light itself,it also has the safety flashing led brake light.it flashes like 4 or 5 times then goes steady red. not to mention it has the license plate light in it also.
