Searching Batteries + only shows one battery. $99.99, 385CCA.

Do you have a part# for the $155 item?

no, this is not correct. the manual tells you that the cel will illuminate for app. 4 seconds, but it does not state that you have to wait for the light to go out.

$155 is too high for that battery. you can find the proper battery somewhere else for right aroudn $100

I have not taken the battery out and had it load tested. It's a 2012, so that battery is 3-4 years old.

Thanks

Yup,the above $100 est for a good quality battery saving $50 is right on the money.

Below i pasted links to quality factory activated hi perf AGM batteries at good prices vs locally at the stealer or automotive store where same type hi perf agm batteries of equaly cca & quality cost approx $30-$50 more.

1st battery is high output @ 600cca ($128) and other 2 are 400cca ($99.95 & $108) which l believe is still a bit more cca then stock original battery had that came with the bike when new.

All 3 batteries have free shipping too!

My 09 glide has the $99.95/400cca hi perf AGM version battery which spins it over well,i believe both of the 400cca batteries
are mfg by Deka which mfg's great hi quality long lasting factory activated AGM Powersort batteries.

I have used the Deka type AGM battery mult bikes including 3 of mine along with other peoples bikes i maintain too with great result every time, they seem to last 5-6 yrs on avg ,but i have seen a few go 6.5-7yrs too.

The 600cca battery peaks my interest for sure , it would be great battery for modded bikes with a larger displacement motor & higher compression.

=======

IMHO its not worth the additional 50%/$50 in cost for the 2 yr warranty.

That's because there are other good quality hi perf high output batteries avail these days (see links i posted in my prior post to this thread) that go the distance thus not needing a 2 yr free replacement warranty .

I have been wrenching bikes and cars for other people for 4+ decades and can honestly say with the many new batteries i have installed over 4 decades i have had 1 new battery that i can remember that had gone bad .

That may be because i always installed good quality batteries with higher cca's to begin with thus being less likely to crap out early.

Can a new bike battery can go bad shortly after install or 1-2 yrs down the road too, yes.

But that doesn't happen often enough to be so concerned to spend 50% more just for a better warranty.

The time i'd worry about warranty on a bike battery would be if i was going to buy for example a very pricey Lith-Ion bike battery because in higher drain & high heat apps Lith-ion batteries have had issues at times with melting down or starting on fire.

And the battery in an electraglide ultra classic gets over baked with heat from the motor and at times can have a lot of load on it too
depending on how many additional electronic items are installed on the bike vs its charging systems output where the balance between max drain & charging system output isnt optimal or not good.

Just my $.02.

Scott

What would be the pros and cons of this 1/3 larger capacity battery?
