And nobody would ever advise you (especially knowing you are not an expert shock rebuilder/suspension guy) to release the nitrogen or in anyway push on any valve or nozzle. Non-Air Shocks are adjusted by twisting things--preload collars, rebound/compression *****, ride-height adjusters, etc. If you pushed on a valve release (and I'm almost certain it had a cover that had to be removed...), you were on your own.

Progressive 944's will lower it to the same height as a Street Glide. They now have a 944 low that wil lower it another inch.

Just another (cheaper) option to consider. the seats on the newer frame bikes are a lot wider than the older ones. My wife had the same problem with her new Streetglide. We had my favorite seat guy shave the sides in on the seat and cut it down a bit and put a gel pad in it. She says it lowered her a good inch, can flat foot now and very happy! I don't have to tell you what that means.

Another guy who wants to blame someone else for their mistakes. I am sick and tired of this type of behavior on forums. Was your shocks shipped with no nitrogen or did you cause this problem? You caused this problem and want someone else to pay for your mistake. On the very first page of your invoice and everyone else's invoice:

ITEM: 00 I wish you to call me & we will put the shocks on together. Please have shocks in hand & instructions already read & understood.

Obviously you could not have done that. On my instruction sheet the very first picture is showing you not to touch the needle valve fill. Yes, you have JRI and you may have a reservoir either piggyback or hose mount. The same valve is on all of those shocks except when JRI came out with a schrader valve which does the same thing except you do not need a hypodermic needle. The only other thing I can think of is that you tried to force open the hi/lo compression needle valve housing on top of the reservoir. Do not even imply I do not know how to set up a shock and I am too hard to get in touch with.

Does this look familiar? These are the instructions you as well as everyone of my clients received before you ever received your shocks. The first thing on page one is what not to do which you could have done. I think you must have done the second option.

If you did not do that than you must have removed the the hi/lo compression setting by unscrewing the valve with a wrench. I would have never told you to do that and any person would have read the printed arrow on the housing.

There is no way anyone with the least bit of mechanical knowledge or common sense would have removed this housing.

For you to come on this forum and complain how I should have paid for shipping to correct your mistake that you made and than telling everyone here I do not know how to set up a shock or that I am too hard to communicate with is just HDF BS. How can you live with yourself?

need some advise, I have a 2000 electra on air (stock shock) want to lower the rear down to 11.5 from 13 in. Problem is is that I need a shock that is adjustable for when the wife rides to when I go solo. would like something with adjustable resevoir thats not tucked behind the saddle bag, The last thing that I want to do is have to remove my bags to adjust my shocks all the time. Any ideas? Thanks for your help

Here is what I told you: Take masking tape and transfer the 6 points of the 14mm socket to the tape. Put the 14mm deep dish socket on the red part of the adjuster and turn it 4 turns out. The brass center screw is the low speed & the red is the high speed adjuster. Look at the adjuster and you will see that the adjuster housing is taken out with a 23mm wrench. You can not take the whole housing out using a 14mm socket. I know good and well how to take a shock apart as well as adjust them. You used a wrench to take your shock apart and not me. Had you followed directions you could have not taken this housing out of the shock. I had been using the JRI Piggyback triple adjuster long before you received your shocks and all have the same adjuster housing. What you did is what you did. We dyno tested (at the time & not now) every shock before it goes out and yours as well as everyone else receive working shocks. Because you do not listen or understand the directions and not use common sense by taking your shock apart and say some one else is at fault, you, like many here need to take responsibility for their own actions. I did not tell you the wrong thing, you just did not listen and understand. A 14mm socket means a 14mm socket and not a 23mm socket. For you to even suggest I do not know what I am talking about is ridicules. I had adjusted my own shocks long before you ever received your shocks. Look in the mirror and find out who made the mistake and who should pay for their own mistakes.

Does 6 points = 1 turn?
