Default Speaker Question..

Long story short. Laid the bike down and my local HD dealer ordered all the parts. Well my right speaker seems to intermittently blow out so i was going to order some new ones. How hard is it to replace them? I would order them and have the dealer put them on considering they have to replace the fairing anyway, but i don't want to pay the labor charge if its too easy to take off. Also whats a good aftermarket speaker. Not looking for the whole setup with the amp just some better speakers?
Thanks,

You will need to get 2ohm speakers and a 6.5"adopter plate.

Infinity makes a good set of 2ohm speakers

Each speaker has 4 screws holding it on

The wires are basic spade connectors.slide on/off and crimp.

The fairing has 7 screws, it's absurdly easy to replace speakers

Just the outer fairing has to come off. I can have mine off in under 10 minutes. Once you take it off everything is easily accessible

supereasy.

if you have spot lights, put tubesocks over them.
towel over the fender.
a clean padded place to set your fairing down- like another towel on the floor
no kids or dogs running around.

remove the windscreen ( 1996~2013)- REPLACE center screw lightly.

remove the inner fairing screws.

the outer fairing is held on only by that center screw- support the fairing and remove the screw.

tilt the fairing towards you work it up over the spotlights/ socks----and pull the headlight plug- it may be stiff.

and that is it!

now that you have done this- you'll know how and that it is probably quicker to replace a headlight bulb this way than to go through the front

Thanks,
Good possibility it's not a speaker.
Swap the left and right before you change them.
