It's about a 2 1/2 hr ride. Maybe a little less. Yeah I've got all the tools. Just let me know when.

Will do! I have everything except the bearing puller/installer. Got a table lift and J&S jack so we could do both bikes at one time...Only trick is that I live on an Air Force base and we will have to sign you on.

Shouldn't be a problem. As far as I know I'm not "Wanted" for anything. LOL.

It's funny you would say that...I had a buddy from back home get arrested trying to get a pass. Funny until I had to bail him out...

Default Hyd lifter oil hole orientation

I am doing mine right now, currently on the forward one, and both roller lifters had oil hole looking at me as I pulled it out. In other words, the oil holes faced away from the jugs, but I'm changing them because they chatter for about 5 minutes when cold, and even after warming up, when trying to match engine speed to gear speed as I down shift, they clang when I rev up the engine to downshift. I have not done this job before, am going real slow, and thought to myself as I pulled it out that it would be easy to remember because the eye hole is looking at me. I then checked the manual, and it says on page 3-41 under push rods, lifters and covers, #1 and I quote, "Remove any labels used on the hydraulic lifters. Install lifters in the crankcse bores with the oil hole on the inboard side and the flats on the lifters facing foward and rearward." Mine were not like that, which is why I jumped on here, and may have been my problem.
