Go to Uhaul and buy two of their extra large padded movers blankets.....they got everything you need....
This ^^^ got two covering the Ultra and the padding is great. It prevents the wife from dinging the front fender when she opens the fridge in the garage.
Harbor freight sells a pretty good moving blanket for around $5.99 with the coupon. I use 3 of them and they work great. I wash them before I use them to soften them up with some fabric softener............
I do not want a thin cover and please don't suggest a sheet. Also, cost always matters - but a high quality padded cover that will protect the bike means a lot more to me than saving a few bucks !
If you're worried about the kids, just pad the bike with an inflatable pool raft between the cover and the bike.
My '03 Anniversary came with a thick cloth form fitting cover with elastic on the bottom that I kept when I sold the bike. I'm sure Harley has some version of that cover and it would really protect your bike from scratches and minor accidents while in the garage. Pricey? Probably.
