I am looking for a storage cover for my road glide custom. My garage is small and pretty busy with kids so I am looking for a full cover that also has some padding (actually the more the better).
Does anybody have suggestions on good options?
I do not want a thin cover and please don't suggest a sheet. Also, cost always matters - but a high quality padded cover that will protect the bike means a lot more to me than saving a few bucks !
it's cheap and it breathes- you do not want anything that will hold moisture or fumes from fuel (or hydrogen from the battery) against the bike- you want that to dissipate.
you do NOT want anything thick
If you want to spend more- you can....get one of those bubble things.
for "padding", if you have lawn furniture- the cushions or pads need to be stored somewhere for the winter- line them up along side your bike.
Or a few flattened cardboard cartons.

Thanks for the comments - breathability makes sense. The bike is stored in a humidity controlled garage so it's really scratch and impact protection that I am after.
As I mentioned in my original post, my garage is pretty small with my 3 kids always going in an out of it with bikes etc.
Ive used a couple of the dowco covers but I actually prefere my cheapie walmart cover for indoors. Throw some towels over your tins before you cover it up and you will have better protection than any others
again, fuel fumes and hydrogen gas can be trapped against your finish by a thick non-breathing cover.
think that over.
also your humidity and temperature controls are going to swing wildly one way or the other everytime the garage door opens...as you said this is a high traffic area- so it'll get cold, warm, wet and dry over and over and over
BTW change you oil before you put it away. treat your fuel too

The ones my wife makes. But they are single layer material (like sheets). I avoid heavy ones because the extra weight makes any dust scratch the paint.
