Ceramic headers?
Got the new pipes installed, torqued, re-torqued and hell, re-torqued again. They have a great sound and seem to breathe and tune the exhaust. I took it for about a 40 mile "break-in" ride between 35-80 MPH, got it in the driveway and found a wire just kind of sitting on the heat shield by the trans. Without thinking, I tucked the wire back by hand and the heat shields were maybe warm to the touch. It is under 70 here right now, so I'm sure that will change, but I know for sure that the old pipes, cold or hot out, were hot all the time. Because the headers route differently on the left, I saw where the old pipe's heat had taken aluminum off the primary. Kind of a "soldering" effect. I thought it was a scuff, till I saw the glob of aluminum on the pipe at that area. Long story shortened, I'm EXTREMELY happy with the result and the fact that the pipes are well mounted, rather than the cheesy setup I bought it with. New pic is the avatar.
