Default Removing Instrument Chrome Trim Rings

I tried the search function without success. I vaquely remember installing chrome trim rings on my speedo/tach and assorted guages when I purchased my Ultra in 2006. A combination of questionable chrome quality and a small amount of my not paying attention now leaves me with chrome trim rings that need to be replaced. If I remember correctly they were installed with double sided adhesive. Anyone have experience in removing and replacing these trim rings? I know the answer is out there in the Harley community somewhere. All input will be appreciated.

Heat gun should do the trick, still gonna have to tug a little bit on them to get them off but it won't be as hard as without the heat.

Yep.... Heat gun and pull. I put a hook tool up under edge and pulled when I did it once. I was even trying to save the rings and managed that without damage to anything.

OH.... and patience!

I used a few dabs of clear silicone. Hopefully it won't be too difficult if I have to take them off.
