I put the chrome front speaker trim on my FHLX. Now I need to take them off. Am planning on using a hair dryer and carefully prying off. Anyone done this or have a better idea?
On another note....it warmed up to a balmy 15 degrees here in central Illinois today. Only 71 days until spring.
The hair dryer is the right idea for sure. I would add to that using a piece of dental floss as a saw to avoid damaging the trim or fairing instead of prying.

Thanks folks...
Are you talking about the chrome bar & shield trim rings?
I changed the speakers in my 07 out to Hogtunes and those B&S trim rings are installed before the speaker, then the speaker and the speaker screws hold the trim rings in place... So if you take off your outter fairing and pull the speaker off the trim rings should come right out... It has been a couple years since I did the speaker swap but Im pretty sure thats all it was. Let me know what you find out though!

These are "stick ons" with self adhesive backs. They are placed over the top of the speakers.
LOL oh no never had that feeling! Well how bout this... I just took the stock speakers out of my 2010 FLHX... I will give those to you and you dont have to worry about taking off the others!

I'll let you know if I need them, thinks I'm going to do ok without taking them out. Thanks anyway.
Still have a trip to Daytona in the near future? How's the new bike coming along? Do you have your new exhaust installed yet?
